We have been awarded Career Academies UK and National Skills
Academy Financial Services classifications. We are also recognised as
a Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) for Business, Accounting and
Financial Services.
Our trainers have extensive commercial experience and we maintain
close links with industry and professional bodies, including strong
relationships with some major universities, plus many companies which
are undertaking apprenticeship programmes.
You will have the opportunity to take part in the Shares4Schools league
table, starting this year in line with the Security and Investment course,
and also to study through the IFS School of Finance.
Highbury College is a Cisco Networking Academy and a Microsoft
IT Academy, as well as an Oracle and CompTIA academic partner.
Academy status allows us to use the latest Microsoft and Cisco
academic curriculum materials within the programme, enabling
us to deliver highly successful commercial training in an academic
environment.
You will have the opportunity to study part of the Microsoft Certified
Systems Engineering (MCSE) programme and courses developed by
Cisco in association with Hewlett Packard and Sun Microsystems. Our
state-of-the-art computing suites give you access to over one thousand
PCs, specialist software and hardware, plus the latest Apple Mac
technology.
In addition to two Flexi IT Centres, Highbury also has an IT Suite at
the Acorn Centre in Wecock Farm which serves the community in IT
development.
